Project Summary
Strategic Environmental Assessment – Kikonge Multipurpose Dam. We provided services to TANESCO assessing the strategic options for a multipurpose dam on the Ruhuhu River. Multiconsult were the lead consultant. The Ruhuhu is the largest tributary to Lake Nyasa/Malawi. The primary objective was provision of hydro- electrical power with irrigation opportunities.
During 2023-4 Ecosurv, together with SAIEA, prepared a set of National SEA Guidelines for Botswana. The guidelines were then presented to district and environmental officers and practitioners in a set of training sessions provided around the country.
